A power steering rack (rack and pinion steering system) is common equipment to most of the auto, including the SUV and passenger cars. This is a single component that also includes the power steering systems.

The rack is a bar parallel held by clamps with rubber bushes in the front axle that moves left or right as the steering wheel turning, aiming the front wheels in the correct direction. The pinion is a small gear at the end of the vehicle’s steering column that engages the rack.
